Alesha Danaé Copeland age 30, was called home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2024, at Maryview Medical Center. Alesha was born on April 13, 1994, in Portsmouth, VA at Portsmouth General Hospital to Angela Copeland-Dillard and Isaac Baker. She was a 2011 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School.
Alesha was a good person, she enjoyed helping and being there for others in need. He was well known as “Lei Lee” and loved by all who knew her. Alesha was like a mother to her sister, Arnesha Copeland’s children, Donte and Demi, and to her best friend, Rakeah Grigsby’s children, Ledghin and My King. She was hard-working and loved being able to assist others; she loved working for Melanin Excellence Medical Transport Service.
Alesha was predeceased by her grandmother, Delores Artis Copeland, and uncle, Daniel Artis
Alesha leaves behind to cherish her memory her mother, Angela Copeland-Dillard; stepfather, Barry Dillard; sister, Arnesha Copeland; grandparents, William and Naomi Copeland; nephew, Donte Spearman; niece, Demi Spearman; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family members, and friends.
“Lei Lee” will truly be missed.
