I am so very sorry for your loss. My heart is broken. I actually stumbled upon this obituary by accident, but immediately remembered Akyra. I was her school counselor at Little Creek Elementary School. She was such a sweet, loving, beautiful, bright-eyed child. I loved talking to her, and whenever I saw her, I just had to give her a hug. She was such a ray of Sunshine, and brought so much joy to those around her. I still see her as that pretty little girl skipping through the halls of Little Creek, with the most beautiful hairstyles (her mom kept her hair so beautiful at all times). Rest well, sweet angel. May God cover the family with strength, comfort, and peace during this time. Gary, I remember you too. You and Akyra had the biggest, brightest smiles. God bless.

You all are in my thoughts and prayers at this time. May God comfort you and bring you peace and strength at this time.
