To Akeem’s family and friends, I’m so happy to have encountered such a nice genuine soul here on earth. I met him in Norfolk while stationed in the Navy, where I was able to see his zealous work ethic, kind heart, and his love for cars. I extend my sincere condolences to his family and friends who loved him deeply.

I don’t know where to start. Akeem was a childhood friend of me and Shawn. And we had some good times together. I always remember that no matter what we want to do he was down no matter the outcome. I’m going to miss our conversations and his way of thinking. I miss you already. My condolences to the family

I give a honor to God. Dropping to my knees in prayer. We stand today a family in grief, and in mourning. We are all united not only in our desire to pay our respect to our loving brother Akeem, but rather in our need to do so. Akeem was an extraordinary person. The very essence of compassion, of duty, of style, of beauty. He was a symbol of selfless humanity. Today is our chance to say thank you, for the way you brightened our lives. We love you Brother Akeem, more than words could ever express. This is a quote on your behave, as you would so elegantly express. If the essence of my being has caused a smile to have appeared upon your face, or a touch of joy within your heart, then in living -I have made my mark! May the blessing of God be upon You. 🙏🏾

To the best uncle a girl could ever ask for. To the only male figure I had in my life. I’m so happy to see so many lives you touched. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t miss you. You were one of my first best friends more than an uncle to me. A protector, provider, I never had to question your love. Until we meet again….I love you more than words could ever explain.
