Adrian Nicholas Hansen, 15, of Chesapeake, passed away unexpectedly on May 6, 2025. Born on March 27, 2010, in Tampa, Florida. Adrian was a freshman at Western Branch High School, where he was known for his quiet demeanor, yet compassionate, generous character. Adrian was a straight-A student, a voracious reader, and excelled in math. He also loved collecting Pokémon cards, playing Pokémon Go with his family, cooking, traveling, bike riding, and caring for his two cats and two dogs.
Adrian is survived by his loving parents, James and Nicole Hansen; his younger brother Anderson; and his grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins, all of whom cherished him deeply. In lieu of monetary or floral donations, feel free to donate Pokémon cards in Adrian’s honor at the memorial service. The Hansen family will deliver them to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.
Although his time with us was brief, Adrian’s kind and gentle spirit will continue to touch the lives of those who knew him. He will be missed and loved eternally.

May 10, 2025 at 6:53 pmI was Adrian’s history teacher in 8th grade at Western Branch Middle School. He was a straight A student. He was quiet and reserved most of the year. Towards the end of the year, he had formed an active friendship with some of his peers. I saw him laugh more and enjoy their company. I was happy to see this. I send my condolences to the Hanson family and hope you find peace in such a difficult time. Love and acceptance for one another is all we need to make this world a better place.
God bless.
