Furlease Williamson also known as “Fur” called home on June 19, 2024. She lived most of her life in Mullins, South Carolina on a farm with her husband. Furlease then moved to New York in 1967. There she worked as a custodian in the latter part of her life until she moved to Virginia Beach, VA where she retired.
Furlease was beautiful inside and out. She was kind-hearted, generous, loving, funny and out-spoken. She enjoyed visiting, entertaining family and friends.
She is preceded by her late husband, Pearlie Lee Williamson; her mother, Lizzie Mae Burroughs; father, Gonza Burroughs; grandmother, Eliza Robinson (Charlie), her brother, James Ford; sister, Alma Foster; Aunt, Genera Ford; uncles, Frank Robinson, Jr. (Mary Francis) and Rufus Robinson.
She leaves to cherish her two daughters; Arnetha Bryant of Suffolk, VA) and Leona Haywood (Kenny) of Cheaspeake, VA.; her five sons, Jerome Williamson (Layne) of Lexington, VA, Tommie Lee Williamson (Victoria) of Virginia Beach, VA, Frank Williamson (Dolores) of Richmond Hill, GA, Rufus Williamson (Comassia) of Norfolk, VA and Pearlie Roberts of South Carolina and a host of family and friends.
She was blessed with 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
